When you would rather take a dip in the ocean instead of in your private pool, head to Leeward Beach. Some say it’s the most beautiful beach in all of Turks & Caicos. You’ll see from the photo below that Leeward Beach is coated with sparkling snow-like white sand, and the water is a spectacular shade of turquoise-blue. These sandy shores are so stunning, you’ll feel as though you’re stepping into a picture from a magazine.
Despite the fact that it’s so incredibly gorgeous, Leeward Beach is generally not crowded. Most of the tourists who visit it are staying at the exclusive Leeward Settlement community. For this reason, many have chosen to hold weddings or vow-renewal ceremonies there.
The sand has a powdery consistency, which makes it great for walking on, even with bare feet! It’s so soft, you might even end up taking a nap on this beach. The water is generally calm and good for swimming, even for young children. Shells, including large conch shells, can be found along the beach and in the water.
Leeward Beach is also a great place to take part in water activities such as jet-skiing, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, boating, and more.
